Är detta mögel? Vad göra?, Found orange mould on my maple tree, what should I do ? Alternativ

Hi everyone !

Just found orange mould on a branch of my maple tree (see picture attached)
What is it ? Is this dangerous ? What should I do ?
Someone in Plantagen store recommended me to treat it with CurEra Kumulus product.

It´s a fungus, cinnobersvamp in swedish, it lives on dead and dying wood. So it´s better to buy a new tree, kumulus is not going too heal that tree.

Strange cause this maple was very beautiful 3 months ago with a lot of leaves...and he is several years old...
What do you think would make him dying so quickly ?

In the middle it looks like an injury where it has been a branch, that might have been the cause of it to start dying and the warm moist autumn must have been perfect for the fungus. But other things ca cause trees to start dying too but that is my guess from what I see in the picture

Do you think I can try to cut only the branch which is sick and see if the tree survives ?

I would just cut it off if the rest of the tree looks good it will probably be fine
