It feels as if the cosmos is breathing with you, since the space of Space Waves is always shifting and changing. It seems as if each level is its own unique planet, complete with its own distinct colors, forms, and rhythms. On occasion, you may go through hallways that are illuminated by a chilly blue light, while on other occasions, you will plunge into burning red vortexes that emit a glare similar to that of lava. Despite being filled with contemporary sounds, the visuals of the game are created in a vivid neon style that is evocative of synthwave music from the 1980s. A environment that is both dreamlike and ferocious is created by the mix of speed, light, and music. In this space, you are able to not only watch the waves, but you can also feel them.
As a game, Space Waves does not have any strict rules. The game allows you to exercise complete control over the game, but it also presents you with a number of problems. With only one mistake, you will collide with a bright wall and are forced to start again from the beginning. However, it is precisely this failure that imparts value to each and every success. Players with experience will understand that in order to stay alive, they need to discover their own rhythm. There is no one right method to play; the only people who can get farther are those who have a genuine sense of rhythm. Not only does Space Waves challenge the player's reflexes, but it also tests their ability to concentrate and their tenacity.
