Låter troligt då jag hittade detta:
Passiflora are a source of nectar for a huge number of insects. They are an important main food stock for numerous butterfly and moth larvae.
In order to prevent some butterflys to deposit too many eggs, some passiflora produce small buds of the same size and color as the butterfly's eggs in order to trick them to believe they have laid more eggs than they actually have.
Other species secrete a nutrient liquid which attracts ants who will then attack bugs on the plant.
